Okay, so the more I play the game the more that it seems like there’s a lot of the patented Kojima sneaking game DNA in it. On first glance the game seems like a Pizza Delivery Dude simulator, but between the BTs and the MULE missions which are basically *colonel voice* sneaking missions, it’s clear Kojima has not totally abandoned the style that made his career.
I hadn’t gotten to play a lot more since the previous update. That being said I did do a MULE mission to recover some stolen loot and either Deadman or Die-Hardman, can’t recall, gave me the lore dump on the MULEs. Which was patently Kojima brand absurd. Basically, to sum it up, deliveries used to be handled by drones, but some people were too addicting to shipping things and delivering things and they became MULEs. Sure, there’s a lot more context there, but that seemed to be about it.
The sneaking feels alright. It’s not quite on the level of Metal Gear fun, but it’s fun none the less. Sam is really good and binding people up with rope, which I’d assume is a good skill to have for someone who is a Porter. Still interested in playing more, gonna keep track of when the feeling of needing to go back starts to fade.
